You might wonder why the snow flakes......well I'm from Nebraska and all this rain makes me realize that your rain is our snow but you don't have to shovel it!!!!


Power Team Homework: Each power team is responsible for naming 2 new members they need on their team. You will report your findings Aug. 2nd. That is this Thursday!! We are the number 2 chapter in the world...did you get that IN THE WORLD. We are only a few away from being the number one. The largest group is from Canada and has 74 members. We are at 59 so that is only 15 members. We are so close. Lets get those members in. Remember we are having a membership contest starting Aug 1 and ending Membership Contest will run from Aug. 2 to Sept 27th. The target businesses named earlier that morning will be the focus. HINT...HINT…..do your power team homework! The goal is to be at 70 members when this Leadership Team hands the reigns over to the new Leadership Team in October! Winner will be announced at Oct. 4th meeting. Prize: One night stay at The Sonoran Bed & Breakfast! Last Thursday we had 57 in attendance!! Isn't that wild!!

We should be getting our new bags soon.

Marcus Richter of Hands-On Home Inspection was the lucky one last week.
Dr. Craig Murand of Foothills Foot & Ankle, Inc. lost his ticket but found it at the last minute so he won $3.




BOB HOLLINSHEAD will be there early with the tickets. No more getting your tickets after the meeting starts unless it is announced.

Susan Fulton of Desert Penguin and Chuck Fatum of Owner Built Custom Homes our Avent Coordinators attended a training and information session with Lori Riegel (Jewish Post) and BNI's Event Ambassador. Our chapter received praise for having 2 Event Coordinators present when the most the other chapters had was 1 and 4 chapters didn't have any representation at all!! Susan and Chuck showed their dedication and commitment to our chapter and we appreciated it!! Thank you.

MSP TRAINING: Next session is August 2nd at 9am-noon. MSP Held the 1st Sat. and 3rd Wed. of each Month. Kevin Wood will be doing the 1st Saturday of every month from 9a – 12Noon. This class will be at Varsity Clubs of American, 3855 E. Speedway on the NW corner of Speedway and Alvernon. Laura Loman will be leading class on the 3rd Wed. of the month from 5:30pm-8:30pm. How do we get people to visit our chapter and how do we get them to join? that's easy!! We continue to add people of good character and strong work ethics. People that are committed to BNI and the Northwest Chapter:: Look at how many people in our chapter have attended a least 1 Advanced MSP course and several members have attended multiple courses. When visitors come to our Chapter, they see our commitment, they feel the great energy and who wouldn't want to be a part of it? quotes from our fearless leader Michelle Martin.

Robin Cupp, did an acupuncture demonstration on Ty Thonvold. They were so good I ask them to do a live demonstration on Pillow Talk on Saturday 7/14/07. I have received a number of reviews and my listeners loved them...

It seems like the same people go over time each week, so please time your commercial. If you are having trouble, ask your mentor or a member of the leadership team for help. Monthly Mixer: Second Friday of the month… 6-8pm
Susan Fulton announced Fox and Hound near the Foothills Mall will be “the place” for our monthly mixers. Pizza and non alcoholic drinks will be served if you want other items you many purchase them. We will be charging $5 per person and $2 for small children to help with the cost of the evening. Chuck and Susan will have a sign in sheet and the amount due will be billed to you on your next breakfast due statement. This will be much easier than collecting money at the door. Whatever amount is due to the restaurant over what is collected will be paid by the chapter. RSVP’s should be made to Susan but walk-ins are always welcome. She would like to get an idea of how many will be at the mixer. If you were at the last mixer, just want to let you know that it will be set up different.
